have to be under a shout or chant. AoF lasts for 10 sec if i dont use atk skills (not likely).
[cant touch this] sounds decent enough.

It's a Tactics skill. Why on Earth would you invest points into Tactics, especially since you have to bring another skill to trigger the IAS?
This is not a good idea.
Just use [Frenzy] and [[email protected]] and be done with it. You'll still have 2 skills, but you won't have wasted your Elite on a shit skill.

"Watch yourself" is probably your best primary option. Add in Soldier's Strike to help deal with aegis chains.
That said, tactics sucks badly save for some farming builds. Avoid it like the plague.

soldier's stance sucks because:
1)loltactics
2)takes up your elite without any real benefit over frenzy as long as you're not too brain-dead to cancel stance
3)you take up 3 slots compared to 2 from frenzy/rush: soldier's stance plus a maintainable shout with a negligible effect (like cant touch this) plus an ims, without which your build would suck. even if you get the perma shout effect from another team mate (or two) who can reliably keep up useful shouts you still wasted an elite slot for a frenzy with a leash.

"PvX bots"? They just outlined in detail why the skill is not worth using. If something is strictly worse than what is generally run by most players, it doesn't make you a unique snowflake to insist on running it, it makes you a bad player.

There's a difference between being a PvX bot and someone who's stopped using the line regularly because it sucks. Aside from some farming builds, tactics is bad.
I'd love to be able to use tactics again, but until anet gives it a little TLC, I'm not going to very often.

being unique is trying new things. i can run [frenzy][rush] just as good as anyone. doesnt mean i cant venture off and try new combos. game is boring as it is, why play the same way everytime?

Soldiers Stance needs a buff, either some bonus damage, IMS or moved into strength.
It requires about 10 or 11 in tactics simply to be a maintainable IAS. This limits your str to 9 or 10, assuming you dont run any other attributes. It also needs 2 skills (assuming ur willing to go w/o and IMS), and probably also a paragon secondary as warriors dont really have any permanent shouts. It wouldnt be worth it as a normal skill, y bother when its your elite?

Yeah, why run good skill combinations when you can purposely run not-fun bad skills and bad attributes!!

Trying new things is fine, but don't expect to hit the jackpot that often unless you can find a great skill combo. SS isn't likely to be great because it is in a very weak line, takes up skill points for being in that weak line, and it requires you to be under a shout all the time, which isn't all that easy anymore since they nerfed WY.
Look at primal rage before they nerfed it, it had a quick enough recharge to cancel stance and it had an IMS along with the IAS. SS is just an IAS that wastes your elite and eats up skill points in the process.
Until it gets a buff, you should be looking outside of tactics for original new builds.

lol, it's hard to be constructive after this
But ok so far there's [soldier's stance][can't touch this]... what did you have in mind for IMS? (6 skill slots left and counting...)

So being efficient (Frenzy/Rush) is boring, and being inefficient (Tactics/wasted Elite/3 skills instead of 2 to get the same mobility and ias) is fun?
Count me as boring. I'd rather be efficient.

Think team synergy, 1 warrior or paragon with charge and another IAS and the other warrior with Soildier's stance, you get something like pre nerf primal rage. Unless you mean to exclusively RA always consider what your allies will be taking(a group of W/Mes with charge and SS might be fun in AB, you could mimic off eachother while capping shrines). Also consider "make haste" or chants that activate on spells.
